What we grow

Crops selected for biomass, markets and soil value.

MAIAGRO focuses on crops and outputs that can create practical value: Napier grass for biomass and fodder, agricultural produce for trading, and organic inputs that support soil productivity.

Crop portfolio

Growing is planned with end-use in mind.

For MAIAGRO, crop planning does not stop at sowing. We ask where the crop will go, how it will be procured, how quality will be measured, and whether the output can support trading, Bio-CNG or organic value return.

This approach helps farmers understand the commercial purpose of cultivation and helps partners access more reliable supply.

Napier grass
Crop

Napier grass

A high-biomass perennial grass used for Bio-CNG feedstock and livestock fodder. It is central to the MAIAGRO clean-energy loop.

Agricultural produce
Crop

Agricultural produce

Fresh produce and allied crops sourced, aggregated, sorted and traded through farmer-connected supply channels.

Organic fertiliser
Crop

Organic bio-fertiliser

Digestate and organic inputs that help return useful nutrient value back to soil after energy conversion.

Napier grass close up
Napier grass focus

A crop that supports fuel, fodder and farmer income.

Napier grass is a fast-growing, high-biomass crop. When cultivated properly, it can produce repeated harvests and large volumes of green material. This makes it useful as a planned feedstock for Bio-CNG production.

It also has practical agricultural value as fodder where suitable. This dual purpose gives farmers flexibility and gives energy projects a more dependable biomass option.

MAIAGRO’s role is to help farmers understand planting requirements, cutting cycles, biomass quality and potential buyback or supply arrangements before they commit land.

Cultivation support

Support across the crop cycle.

01

Land review

We assess land, water availability, access, crop history and farmer expectations before recommending cultivation.

02

Planting plan

We help plan spacing, planting material, establishment approach and early maintenance requirements.

03

Harvest cycle

We guide cutting cycles, volume planning, quality expectations and transport coordination for feedstock use.

04

Soil return

We connect cultivation with organic inputs and bio-fertiliser concepts to support long-term productivity.

Produce trading

Beyond Napier, we support market-linked farm produce.

Agricultural produce trading remains an important part of MAIAGRO’s work. Farmers need access to buyers, and buyers need organized supply. We support this through sourcing, sorting, aggregation and coordination.

Our aim is to reduce uncertainty by improving communication around quantity, quality, timing and dispatch. This makes the farm-to-market process more predictable for both sides.

Use cases

One crop system, multiple value streams.

Fuel
Bio-CNG feedstock

Napier biomass can support renewable gas production when supply is planned properly.

Fodder
Livestock feed

Fresh green biomass can support fodder needs where it is suitable and available.

Trade
Market supply

Produce can be aggregated and supplied to buyers through organized channels.

Soil
Organic return

Digestate and organic inputs can support healthier and more productive soil.
